Winterization Problem. Please help

    no problem. we're all hear to learn. i frequently ask questions, and try to provide answers to questions asked.

    It's just hard to answer the question of a newb like that. (it prolly took more work to take the pic and post the question than it did to blow it out).

    before you make a huge mistake, MAKE SURE THE WATER IS SHUT OFF before you blow it out, from the inside…then i would hook up to the pvc cap just before the back flow…personally i ******* hate systems that are designed incorrectly, such as no blowout port AFTER the backflow

    Old school is at the low part of the plumbing exiting the house, so a boiler drain stays open as a safety drain in winter

    exactly! , round here when we see a boiler drain on the system side of BF we know it was installed by a newbie.
