Hi everyone. Does anyone spray nitrogen?
I do. I've been using a product called Sable. A 28% time release non burning formula. Anyone else use this? Also , liquid iron? How have your results been?

I use granular at beginning of season.per soil sample analysis. I want to give the customer visual gratification as soon as possible. So I decided to try spraying. I used it on my lawn and dumped it on pretty heavy and also added liquid iron. Within 24 hours we saw a dramatic difference. I'm applying 1 pass every 24 days. Instead of mowing once a week, I have to do it every 4 days. The iron has made it the darkest green color I've ever seen. My point? Is this temporary satisfaction? Am I asking to much of my grass?

Your probably overduing the nitro that's why you have to cut so often
Golf courses want lots of growth to repair the heavy traffic
Iron is used to help green

We melt urea and use it as our N for 3 out of 5 applications. The other 2 we brew our own compost tea and apply that with iron. It sounds like you are applying a bit to much iron and fertilizer in general. Try this.
    .75LBS of N per 1000
10 oz of Hydrexx or U-Plus per bag of urea melted

This should get you a level growth period of about 5 weeks. Mowing once a week and watering accordingly. Just my opinion.
