My uncle and I were asked to do a bid for edging the headstones at our local National Cemetery. I don't know how they came up with their numbers, but out of 6 bids, everybody was at least $4,000 or more a month higher than what they expected.

When you have to pay prevailing wages (union pay scale) and factor in that we operate and live in one of the highest cost of living situtions, I don't see how they ( the goverment rep(s)) can get cheaper costs to do the work. We were all told that it took a three man crew 6 days to edge the stones from one side to the other side.
