Worms, Larvae, Pests, What Are These Things and How Do I Get Rid Of Them?

    These are everywhere in a tall fescue lawn in Ky. The turf is all but dead in most places. I believe it was KY bluegrass sod originally and over seeded in fescue. Now it's mostly henbit. They are 1" to 1.5" long. Thanks

    It's hard to tell from the picture but it looks like either sod webworm or armyworm. Either way Dylox should work.

    Crane fly larvae maybe?

    Ya it's hard to tell from the pictures, but usually army worms have 3 yellow,orange or dark brown stripes down their backs, which I can't really see.

    I'd say your best bet is BT (Bacillus Thuringiensis) for both sod webworms and army worms.
