I have a friend who wants to get me to cut lawns for his manager ( a fast food business owner). Anyway the job includes cutting the lawn (approximately equal sq feet to a 75 x 150 ft. residential lot), edging and light cleaning of debris from the parking lot. Its a twice a week account and the current provider charges $40 per cut ($80 per week). Problem is its 18 minutes from my house and 10-12 minutes from my nearst account. If I can beat the price Im guaranteed the job if I match maybe I'll get it. With the travel time I dont know what to do, so far i've been spoiled with lawns less than 12 minutes from my house but with the economy is it time to travel. I make $60 per hour so that would mean its not worth it with the added travel time. It could open some doors in the commercial market so its eating at me. Its also in a commercial area so I could do it early in the am before I can start my other accounts.
