I bought a used, 48” Wright Stander this year and I was wondering how long I should expect it to last? It had 950 hours on it when I got it, but the guy I got it from meticulously maintained it and I have been doing the same with no problems so far. It has a 22-horse Koler motor.

Just asking for honest opinions so I can plan ahead.

Mine are 6 and 4 years old. They get run hard. And I mean hard.

If you keep the engine well maintained, they should get something like 2500-3000 hours before a rebuild. The rest of the machine should last that long too.

Never used a Wright Stander but with that engine you should be in the grass for a lot of years. Commercial grade equiptment now days last a long time with basic maintaince. What part of the Queen City?

I had a 48" with an 18 briggs this spring that had 1850+ hrs on it. I sold it to a local friend who added it to his 4 others. All his have at least 1000 hrs on them and get sent out daily. I believe that the clutch went out on my old one last week, but thats only a few hundred bucks.
