I was thinking of starting to install christmas lights and decorations for a in-between season job that to generate some off-season money, for me and my employees to keep busy and stay working. Does anyone do this? How do you charge, what all do you install, etc. Looking for info if anyone does this. Thanks in advance! :usflag:

Yes we do it its all T & M at 30 per hour with 55% mark up on materials. If you find a commercial distributor some will have marketing kits, biding forms, instructional videos, everything you need. It adds up quick I think and avg. residence runs about 1300.00

Use the search feature and you should find plenty of information.

Try www.villagelightingcompany.com . These guys can send you a contractor kit that will get you started. Unlike other companies that charge $1500 or more, this thing is around $100. I actually attended the class that is on the DVD that is included. They also have very good product.

We install a significant amount of lights each winter.

Very good money if your crews are good at it.
