I just ordered a qwikchute for my 2006 66" XR-7 deck. I was told after ordering three (3) holes would have to be drilled in the deck for installation.

Will this effect my warrenty on this machine in any way?

I am not familiar with the newer Qwikchutes, but if drilling holes affects the structural integrity of the deck it could affect your warranty.

Will not effect deck integrity. 3 small holes, 2 are for a filler that seals the rear of the deck. Go for it. They work well.

I had to drill 5 holes for my XR-7. I don't think it will effect the integrity in the least. Be sure when you are mounting it that you have the chute down with the door closed very firm, if not there is enough play with the door that you will not get a good seal. Also constantly check the hardware, my handle has fallen off, or at least we have lost bolts that hold the handle on a number of times.

    Good luck
