Yanmar Diesel's

    I think so also....long story short....we bought an engine from a salvage yard and used it as a locomotive engine at a factory to shuttle cars....it was used and we had no idea of the hours and this one lasted another 6000 plus hours before she she went poop

    Yes john deere and dixie chopper and anything that is a division of yamaha has to be good!

    I had one in my Gator. Never any problems. My friend has the same 18hp engine on his sailboat.

    Thanks, I have been looking at a JD 2653 Reel mower that has a Yanmar and I never heard of them.

    Yanmar has been making diesels for Deere since what, the 1970s? They're great engines.

    I love my yanmar in my JD. I do stuff with that little tractor that some wouldn't believe. It really gets put to the test and does the work of a tractor 5 times its size.

    Yanmar builds more small diesel engines than anyone else in the world.

    The new Cub Cadet tractors are Yanmars.
