What is your lawn turf?
Is it irrigated?
Have you fertilized?
What is the soil--looks like sand?
You'll need to take a soil test, then spread some topsoil over that sand.

Need a little more info to get you started.

Type of grass is fescue. No irrigation system. Soils is kind of a mix between sand and dirt. It's real rough right there and I had 6-8 inches in that entire spot of weeds, leaves, sticks, etc.that I removed, then cut 6 or 7 trees down one which had a stump of around a 5' diameter. Had all the stumps groung, then cleaned that up.Needless to say this ground has been through alot. Is there a piece of equipment that can be used to pull up what's left of the root systems and then put top soil over it? I am constantly cutting down tree sprouts
