Yellow nutsedge vs Surge herbicide

    Gordon's Surge herbicide at approximately label was applied to a several clumps of yellow nutsedge, on august 14, 2014. Temperatures were in the low 80's and the weather was dry until rain about 7 days later. At nine days the nutsedge clump showed yellowing and browning.
    A non-ionic surfactant was included in the spray solution.

    I sprayed some with dismiss and it looked the same. Yellow and brown BUT kept growing every week. I got control with certainty

    Low % Sulfentrazone products (Surge, TZone) will burn down the nutsedge but it will come back. Makes the customers feel good in the short term, though.
