does anyone have a ad in there local city? and if so, is it profitable.
I have been doing this for going on 11 years now and this will be my first year ever to have a yellow pages ad. I guess that I will see how it works.
I have always relied on word of mouth and referral discounts in the past. But now I want to reach out farther, so I am doing a yellow pages ad. I will let you know what happens.
There is no way I can afford the ad I think people would see and respond to.
It was going to be like $650 per month for the ad I wanted. NO WAY.
I run a basic ad for $50/month. Have been getting more calls so far this year than all of last year combined.
I get just as many calls with the simple free line listing in the yellow pages thats included when you have a business line as I got with a $110 a month color display ad.
Yellow pages ads are a double-edged sword.
If your ad is dominant or among the dominant then yes you WILL get calls, but if your pages cover a large geographic area then you'll get calls from all over hell and creation.
I know I did.
I just spent ~$1200 bucks on some direct mail and bagged $11,200 in new annual accounts (the calls continue to come in).
All in my PREFERRED area of operation and in my existing neighborhoods.
This has been the best advertising money spent so far.
