Mine was $18.00 and only because I had 7 properties within 4 blocks and not all were $18.00 but it was for lawns under 5000sq ft. But it has been raised to $21.00 a month and a half ago.
You need to figure out how much you need to make an hour to be profitable, mine is almost $40.00/hr with 2 guys. 3 lawns x $18.00=$54.00 the other lawns = $104.00 totaling $158.00 and it takes us at most 3hrs totaling $52.67/hr. But now its a little more due to the increase. payup

$40.00 minimum - or I do not even drop the tailgate. Fuel @ $3.00 per gallon, insurance at an all-time high, trucks costing $30,000 and mowers costing $8,000 plus! - Professionals deserve a professional rate!

This year my minimum is $30. I did take on one for $25, it was only 11 minutes - engine off to engine on and it was on an existing route.

An interesting note, the $25 job was in a trailer park. The woman accross the street from my client asked me how much to mow her yard. When I told her $25, she said the trailer park told her she could get it done for $5. SHE WAS LOOKING FOR A CHEEPER PRICE!
