I have a 2010 JD Z930A, it has the comfort and convenience package, so the electric lift (didn't want it, but price was right on the used machine.) When I try to engage the transport lock, it will not engage. I removed the side panel to get to the deck dial components. It appears when I lift the deck it is about 1/4 inch too short of lifting the deck high enough and the cam out of the way to be able to engage the transport lock. Any one else have trouble with this or these machines? Anyone know the fix? It does not appear anything is broken. Machine has 470hrs on it, and I just bought it about a week ago. I replaced the knob to engage the transport lock as it was broken and I thought that would solve the issue but still cannot get it to engage.

If it would help, I can add some photos.

Thank you for any suggestions or info!

Yes, electric/hydraulic lift.
This is happening when the deck is lifted all the way up.

I need like a 1/4-1/2 inch more lift out of the ram and transport lock would engage.

On a side note I did adjust the deck, so the dial and blade height matched the correct cutting height.
The adjustment brought the adjusting rod all the way in to the shortest length. I plan to put mower on plywood on my garage floor and re-adjust. Tires are properly inflated too.

I put the mower on a level surface. With arms adjusted all the way in, the deck was 3 1/16 cutting height at 3 inches on the dial. I Removed the adjusting arms, and the deck went up enough to engage the transport lock.

Do you think the arms wear out over time?
I plan to bring the old ones to Deere and compare them to new. I still can't believe the shortest adjustment on the arms would be correct.

One picture is of the transport lock engaged, this is about 1/4 inch short whe. The arms are attached to the machine.

Second picture is a picture of the arm I took off
