Zero Turn Sprayer Problems

    Okay so here's the deal:

    Spray rig on zero turn. Used on bermuda to kill crabgrass using MSMA at 1oz/1000 with 83 degree temps. 5 days after app there are "yellow" tire marks all in the turf. WTF happened?:cry:

    Do you have the boom in the front?

    was the turf perhaps in drought stress, or have some
    disease activity? b4 hand

    This is probably the mysterious condition or damage called (sometimes) "Heat tracks". Common problem when grass is wilted from moisture stress, and a mower, golf cart or ride-on is run over it. Exact cause is not known. It will be in the sunny areas usually--seldom in the shade. I suspect it has nothing to do with the chemical used. There are some great pictures on here from last year. I can't find them at the moment.

    i had the same problem with my z jr...i sprayed dismiss at 8oz per A and you can see the tire tracks i just thought since the boom is in the frt the tires picked up the chemical not a big deal for me b/c its my yard.....
