How is the best way to keep Zoyia Grass out of flower beds and mulch.
Do you have a deep border around your beds, or is there no edging at all?
No edging in the most part, some is sidewalk which is no problem. I just took over this account last week. It was all in it around the edges and the junipers. I hand pulled all I could, removed alot of the mulch, put weed guard around the edges, and took my edger with the star blade and put it as deep as it would go.
Take the weed block out and add 3 to 4" of mulch, keep a good deep edge ( a flat spade works well, or like you said, the star ) on the beds and you should have no problems.
