ztr tires tearing up lawns

    guys, i did a search but couldn't get a answer. but i just got a toro ztr(zmaster 48") and when i turn i tear up the lawn. am i turning too fast or too much air in the tires? this is my first ztr, so i don't know that much about them. was running wb's. thanks for any help!

    this is common.
    Because its a Zero turn rider, doesnt mean you SHOULD zero turn, try making there point turns

    EXACTLY!!!!!!! just bought a 30 horse Kohler with the 60" TF deck....you have to do the 3 pt. turn...or you will tear up everything!!!! :hammerhead::hammerhead::walking:

    Maybe someone should make a hybrid ZTR/hovercraft.

    do 3 point turns and that should fix your problems

    And when you make the 3pt turns make sure all the wheels are moving, don't stop one and move the other, then you'll just tear up that grass too.

    at the end of a pass, turn the opposite direction of the next pass your going to make, then back into position for the next pass, then you turn into the pass.

    three point turn or K Turn as its called

    hmm that sounded confusing, here:

    say your headed north doing one pass, at the end of the pass turn east, then back up west so that you can turn south for your next pass.

    whatever someone else give it a shot...
