In metro area of Minnesota and am expanding from my existing business of all-natural and offering standard weed & feed services. The accounts I picked up I am thinking of using Dimension 2EW as a pre/post emergent with my liquid fert. I've done the compatibility test (no problems there), but I am wondering if Dimension will be enough for my pre emergent needs? Most customers are only complaining of dandelions, crab grass & creeping charlie issues from last year. Would anyone recommend adding Acclaim or MSMA to my mix?

Any thoughts or input is appreciated.

I think Dimension would work for pre

Don't know about Acclaim

But i don't think you will need MSMA you don't want to spray this on fescue you need to read the label on these two.

Creeping charlie is easy 3 way and quick silver and hit it 2 times
Crabgrass well it's not here yet
3 way will do in the dandelions

They will find something else to complain about when all these are gone

ccrobin -- ditto with the above advice. Only lawns that may need 2 apps of Dimension are those that had severe crabgrass/foxtail problems last year. We've been mixing liquid Dimension with broadleaf weed control for many years -- never any problems, plus I like the smell of Dimension.

ccrobin, after 2 more posts, I think you will be able to send personal messages to fellow lawnsite.com members. Best wishes, 4 hours south on I-35.

Thanks for all the feedback. It really helps. I'm still a bit confused though, as Dimension doesn't indicate control for dandelions, and a few of you mentioned mixing with other broadleaf control. What broadleaf control would you suggest mixing with it (if any) during my first-round pre-emergent treatment?

Dimension + post emergent broadleaf control + liquid fert.

We often use this blend on new accounts that are full of weeds, cuz it cleans up the lawn in one app. Mix liquid Dimension 3/8 gal per acre, plus a broadleaf weed control at about 3/8 gal per acre, plus liquid fert.

http://www.nutra-flo.com sells nice quality/low salt liquid fert for turgrass. They even offer iron, zinc, copper, boron, manganese, magnesium, and molybdenum which are great for high pH soils.

Everybody has their "favorite" broadleaf weed control product. We get ours from our Agrium rep -- Mecamine-D (amine), Chaser Turf (ester), etc. We also like LI-700 as an additive. Add liquid fert plus xxx gallons of water with these products, and there is to tip burn... just nice results.

After you make 10 posts, you will be able to send personal messages to lawnsite.com members. They might share where they buy their stuff, rates, etc. Thought I would reply to your thread, cuz it sounded like you needed suggestions right away. After this week's crappy weather passes, it will be time for you to start spraying broadleaf weeds. Best wishes, americanlawn :waving:

Thanks buddy - we tried other liquid fert, but experienced "tip burn". Kinda weird how the 3/8 gallon per acre of applies to BWC as well as PRE. Simple is good. Take care, Larry :waving:
