surprised no one said tenacity yet. I like idiot proof. If its a grass and doesnt belong, tenacity treats it. Why use old chemistry like quinclorac and add ?? when one product does it. you really think your guys are mixing exactly right in the field? not likely
Tenacity always takes at least two apps, sometimes three, to control any weed.

Why go back over the job twice when quinclorac can get it once? Why pay more for a patented product when I can buy a more effective off-patent product for less money?

Quinclorac also will control clover. The label also list wild violets as being controlled, but violets are tough. I spray violets whenever with almost whatever, when I see them. You can also seed 7 days after spraying Quinclorac or at seeding with some seed, without interfering with germination.

wouldn't touch quackgrass I'd bet....
Unfortunately I have found nothing that will get rid of quack it is a huge pain in the spring...now it has slowed down and you do not notice it as much.

I don't think you can ever fully get rid of nutsedge...I have been spraying lawns for 5 years and it always comes back...I think the products kill the vegetation but not the nutlets...I've used them all...dismiss being my favorite because it is fast.

I need something for Dallis and Johnson grass out of fescue...they are real problems with no solution right now

tribute total. A kill all. Came straight from the heavens. thank you bayer
I would love this stuff for an idiot proof kill all but if I remember it cost about 160 per acre. Way out of my price range.

If I knew I would be able to spot spray it would be nice.

I'm with you Service 1st. So are my two main suppliers.....both mentioned the advantage of the "synergy that occurs by combining these products". Both also recommended (specific) surfactants.

I never "tank mix" these products unless it's out of an auxiliary T3000 tank, but we're talkin' low volume sprays anyways.
I always apply these products as a fine spray >> usually with a flat fan nozzle & a battery-powered backpack sprayer. Shurflo SRS600.

Service -- I also like what you said about cost not being a factor. Doing the job right the first time always pays off. Plus >> we ain't talking about blanket spraying/tank mixing, etc. so you're not wasting product.

Skipster >> I appreciate your praise & encouragement. I will now go thru all my coloring books.

Still mix Quinclorac and Sedgehammer may cost a little more that way, but knocks them out.

Right on the money American exactly what where doing, using the Shurflo SRS600 and the Aux tank on the Z. Mostly the Shurflo and yes on the surfactant makes a huge difference:)

I use Tenacity. Lots of folks dont because it causes weeds and crabgrass to turn white. sedge included. Sticker is needed also. There is a farm only product that has the same active ingredient but is cheaper. Just inform your customers about the whitening out and your good to go. I run it a tad heavy also. Works great. But you have to be careful on bentgrass.
