I have a John Deere Z930R with a 25.5hp Kawi (FX801V). The low oil pressure engine light keeps coming on. This usually only happens if I'm on a big account and run for and hour straight, especially when its hot out. What's causing this, any idea? The engine has right at a 1000 hours on it.

Per Kaw. svc bulletin ENG 14-03 ya might wanna change oil to straight 40wt. or 20w-50.

You may wanna slap a remote oil cooler on it.
I ain't a cutter, I'm a fixer ( amongst other things, just ask some of the members here! ), but, if I had an expensive azz lawn mower, I would definetley have a remote oil cooler on it. ( in addition to the wimpy oem one)

Get rid of the 10w-30 no good anymore, I'm on Kawi K-Tech 10w-40 need to be on 20-50 the 40 was holding pretty well for over 2 weeks in yesterday it used a bit for the first time.

I ordered it before this insane heat of constant 100s to over 110+ rolled in really need to be on 20w-50.

Properly taken care of that mower should run hours no issue, my units have ran all day every week with short breaks since moving to JD no issues, do you have the FX801?

If so the FX have 2 easy access ports on top for blowout of shrouds, but still the whole thing should be removed checked if I was at 1000hrs, mine is barely past a year old and sit all winter just ticked 500hrs on it.

Left and Right shroud ports both have only 1 bolt

My engine is the FX 801V. Every week I change blades I blow out engine thru them port, so that shouldn't be the problem, unless I need to remove the entire engine cover to blow out better?
Im thinking I will switch to a 20-50W oil and see what happens. Is there any recommendation of what brand of oil to buy and where is a good place to get it?
What about a synthetic oil? Would this not break down to the heat as much?

Yeah, them ports make it easy/convenient to clean out them head fins.
I use a couple of blowguns like these:

Though fer the long one I made mine using a length of brake line tubing soldered to a screw in fitting that fits my blowgun. I can bend it to get just about anyplace.

Is there oil in it? Checking it correctly? If you're screwing in the cap, that's wrong. Rest cap on top of tube and don't let it drop into first thread. Makes a huge difference in capacity. Over 100 degrees, you should park it. It's an AIR COOLED engine.

If the case being "Park It" over 100 degrees I wouldn't have worked at all the last 2 months lol

Keep oil in it and keep it breathing good don't sit on air filters because you're tightwad, death by suffocation.

and yes never screw on dipstick when checking oil always double check it good habit
