I have a power chute. Love the operation of it, just flick a switch 1 way or the other and it auto opens or closes. Unfortunately I have gone through a few motors in 500 hrs.
When I spoke with him, he told me he had received a batch of motors that had a small issue that could lead to premature failure. He replaced mine at N/C and it's been working fine. I find the system to work quite well.

I use a Qwikchute, I like it. SImple, robust and will last me a long long time. I'm sure you'll find the usual suggestions. QuikChute, Grassflap, and Power Chute. I think all 3 are pretty quality products with some like one over the others for personal reasons. ie, I like my stand on platform free from a pedal, others don't care and like the feathering of the grassflap etc. But all are good quality.

I bought my power chute from the previous owner of the company. He replaced the motor 1 time for me after it died real early. Then I made a post on here about not loving the motors, and the new owner of the company contacted me and said he wanted to send me the new and improved motor he had recently switched to. I got that n/c and it worked great, but thos past late summer/fall it will often stick and I have to open the chute a few degrees manually before the motor can lift the flap.

I love the setup....when it's working.

I use that on my scag walk behind. I like it. Other then me having to get off the machine to open or close it
Hell no. While my power chute sometimes annoys me, I couldn't give up the instantaneous operation while mowing at full speed.
I have the toggle switch to controll my chute.

I have a ferris walk behind with CC controls. I have the toggle mounted in the dash right below the controls and work it with my pinky.

We have a Quickchute on one of our Scag Cheetah's. As stated above, it is manual, but very easy and will last forever.

I do have a quick question though. We recently picked up a Scag VRide II and I'd like to put a Quickchute on that. However, I would also like to be able to utilize aluminum Accelerator Bagger as well. I think the way the Quickchute is mounted, it will not allow to have bagging bracket as well? Looking forward to hear everyone's set up. -Trying to accomplish ability to bag as well as have grass flap option!

I believe the Quikchute will get in the way of most commercial bagging systems. There is usually a fan/vacuum driven by a belt connected to the closest deck spindle. That's how a Protero and Excel/Hustler kit functions.
I hope you find a kit to work for you!
