What's good?
I know that. It doesn't change the fact that "Buhmhumper" would also be a terrible business name - even if it's your last name.Scag is Cat's Eye Gold. 😄 And Scag is the founder's last name for those unaware.
I get wanting a light mower when using something this small. But light generally also means cheaply built--lower quality components, smaller engine, plastic that should be steel. How's that working out? They any better then toros?
I'd look long and hard at one if/when I need another mower in this size.As I said earlier, best in class 32" and under walk behind when I bought back in '20 was Ferris FW15. As @Mark Oomkes mentioned, it's not light at 300#. But 10 HP Honda, single hydro drive, heavy steel deck made it better then, as far as I can tell it still is best in this smaller class.
Want even better, more power & lots heavier? Step up to a 36" dual hydro walk behind, but it's gonna cost a LOT more $. I did so in '25 & gifted my FW15 to my brother. He mows tiny lawns, that 32" is his largest, heaviest, & most powerful mower.
