Anyone using these little units? I couldn't justify the cost of the little Stihl, but wound up buying an Asian model through Amazon and it's a very useful little tool...I also got the pole saw attachment and after some months now very pleased with it! I like that I can oil this one during use as it has a manual oiler built-in, has terrific reviews and lasts a good while on one battery. I have cut a few 7" limbs and had no issues with it, just take your time and let the saw do it's job. It makes short work of the stuff too big for loppers. It's got a carrying case and you can throw it in the truck and go. For the little jobs it truly does a nice job without breaking the bank.

So you went and bought a cheap Chinese option when there was a quality option not from china such as Stihl available? Yet you preach you you will not support china.....

I believe anyone knowingly buying a China made 20plus year old designed product is just a little bit less American for doing so....strange how people are all for Made in the USA unless it's for them personally, then they're ok with the cheap stuff from China...
Maybe you should just stop posting it's just embarrassing at this point

$90 for the saw with 2 batteries/charger, and extra chain.
Not bad.

$90 extra to get the combo, so $90 for the pole alone. Ouch.
I may buy this, but I think I'll duct tape the saw to a painter's pole and tape the trigger "on" vs paying $90 for a pole. LOL

I don't really need this for work, but I have a row of privets in the back yard that I'd like to cut down lower and I can only cut so far down with hedge trimmers before the trunks are too thick to cut.
Hmmmmm...

The stones have already been cast but just FYI, Milwaukee, Ryobi, Ridgid, are owned by Techtronic Industries. It’s Chinese owned and based in Hong Kong. You wouldn’t know it with Milwaukees marketing, a lot of tradesmen I’ve worked with assume it’s an “American” company.

Stanley Black and Decker which owns Dewalt/Craftsman/Cub Cadet is still US owned.

But founded and began in the USA. Only owned by TTI since 2005, which happens more and more. Bigger companies buy other companies.

I wouldn’t consider this a “Chinese company” being TTI purchased them and now Milwaukee is a subsidiary. You’d be shocked to know how many companies are owned like this. Also, Milwaukee tools are still headquartered in Wisconsin and built in the USA. Lots of Americans are part of making those tools. It’s not like they are made overseas and imported with no American benefit.

Heres some info on milwaukee, owned by a hong kong company. Headquartered in the US. Sourced in China. They are absolutely made overseas and imported, wake up and smell the coffee boys!

However, their most popular products are made overseas for now. Most models of their cordless power drills and circular saw are made in China.
Too many folks fall for the made in america marketing cheap trick.

I almost bought the 8” version with the pole yesterday. $179 and 900 watt motor instead of 600 watt, but only 1 battery and push button oiling. Some reviews said they got bad batteries but the company sent replacements right away. That’s unusual.
Does your 6” model need manual push button oiling? (Man, that leaves me open to some jokes, eh?).
Still the only tool I could find that you can take off the pole and use one handed.
While at Lowes I looked at the smallest battery op Craftsman (no pole, just the saw) and the box said “Made in China”.
