I have a strip of grass that runs between my driveway and the neighbors that is probably 3 feet wide and 20 feet long. I've gone back and forth with the easiest way to water this part without wasting most of the water by watering the 2 driveways instead of the grass LOL.

An oscillating sprinkler set to just the middle still covers alot of the driveways and I have to keep going out and moving it to cover the whole thing because I try to keep the water pressure low to minimize how much hits the driveways. I also tried a soaker hose running down the middle of the strip but it mostly either sprays water over the grass onto the driveway or only soaks the very middle part, plus it doesn't look very good.

Has anyone found a clever way to just water a small strip of land? I may just hand water it with a sprayer but I'd rather have something I can put on the timer and let it do it's thing. Even if I put a sprinkler system in how would I handle this area? I'm sure any kind of sprinkler head would just shoot the water right over the strip. Maybe have one head at each end of the strip shooting inwards and set them to not rotate much? I know it's a dumb question but you never know if someone has come up with a great idea.

I've seen rain trains at box stores that are adjustable to larger or smaller volumes of water at the input valve, and (of course) have the standard two types of adjustments as far as irrigation distance is concerned.

For those out there who don't know...
A rain train is a type of sprinkler that will move across the lawn by itself, following the path of the supply hose until a point in the line where a 'termination plate' should trigger it to turn *off automatically.
(*that is...IF it's functioning correctly!)

Only 3' x 20' ??
Heck...That sounds like something you could realistically do just standing there with a water wand talking to a next-door neighbor!

use spray heads w/ adjustable nozzles if you have an irrigation system...or the old soaker hose would probably be cheaper and easier...use a fewe sod staples if need be to keep it from moving...
