I looked at both the Z spray and the Steel green machines at a recent trade show. I was more impressed with the Steel green machine fit and finish over the Z spray. I feel like Toro is just going to try to sell the machine as is and the Steel green guys are continuing to look for ways to improve the product.

I'd guess you're going to get more innovation and product development with SG over a huge corporation like Toro. Not to mention product support. I'd like to get a new SG to replace my ZMax one day, maybe next year

I have about 13 hours on my sg52. The changes I would make are personal preference things, that don't effect function. I wish I had specified when I ordered, that I like driving with my right hand. The new machine is set up for left hand driver. The pump switch, foam marker switch, pressure valve and spot sprayer reel are all on the right side. My brother prefers the new configuration. I'm just stubborn after several thousand hours on z max. I really like the heavy duty valves and placement on the sg52. Big improvement.

We had some custom racks made to haul our steel greens. Its one piece that bolts straight to the vehicle frame. No extra hitches to weld on and fail. No failures at the hitch junction. Looking at you carrier systems.

There's a chance ATS/Steel green may be selling these. Ours are for the 36s. Should be no factor to make them wider for the mid size. They're due back from paint this week but here's a teaser. Probably doing future racks in stainless.

Can you send me info on where these are made? I'm in Alabama, just bought the steel green 46. Thanks

Why in the world do they keep using the POS Briggs & ScrapIron engines? The machine is great, but these engines are garbage. Slightest bit of moisture from rain or humidity and they run on one cylinder, foul the plugs.

On the plus side, the plugs are easier to change out than the ZSpray.

But still, we had the same issues with ZSprays and now our SG.

They push the vanguard because it has a larger charging system. I think this is only an issue if you use the 2 main pumps and an aux pump at the same time. I don't really know why you have pumps running on 2 tanks at once. I requested the Kawi on mine. Happy with it at 25 hrs.
