I have 16,000sq ft plus some landscaping that I want to spray this weekend. I want to pick up some bottles of concentrate from Lowe’s or HD. Looking for the best bang for the buck. Is there another option other than Roundup for Lawns? What about Image?

What weeds are you trying to kill?

Read the label and see if the weeds you are after are listed. Both Ortho and RU for lawns are good homeowner products. Read the label and follow it's directly. If it says 2 Oz per 1000sqft 4 oz will not be better. Infact it could destroy your lawn. When shopping and buying round up brand make sure it's the lawn safe product. If it say weed and grass killer it will kill both. So don't spray it on anything you want to stay alive.

What is the native lawn grass?

Typically on a summer grass I'd hit with MSM + 2-4D product + Drive XLR8/Quinclorac to take out stuff this time of year.

Quinclorac will kill Crab, but if you don't have Pre out, then get that out before you spray anything. MSM will kill clover and most wintry weeds with the 2-4D, but that is why I ask the lawn grass type.

Honestly, not sure. Bought the place last fall. I think it's mixed with southern grasses. Zoysia predominately I think. Hard to tell but here's a pic from checking the place out end of the summer last year. I sprayed roundup for lawns this weekend. I think it got too cold the last couple days so probably didn't do much. Going to do a pre emergent and some milogranite soon as it warms up more.
