Im in need for some tires on my ferris 3200 as well. I really want to try the AT101's. Has anyone put them on their 3200 and just readjusted the deck? Im not a fan of the 26x12x12 options.

I don't think they make AT 101's in that size, but the Versa-Turfs or WT300's would be my choice.

You are correct on the AT101s only coming in mower tires up to 24", and I feel you are also correct in your choice of the Versa Turf for 26" mower tires.

I think you may have mis-read his post. He is asking if anyone has installed the 24" AT's on a 3200 that comes with the 26" tires. I know someone om here did that a few years ago, but not sure if it was a Ferris or another brand that had the 26" tires. All they did was re-set the pitch and have at it IIRC.

Sounds like by going down in size you'd be losing more than you're gaining with an AT101? I'm sure it's doable but it seems like a Versa Turf in the correct size would be better.

I have the AT101's on a 72" Hustler HD, and they are excellent in every way, but I am not forced to deal with driving on asphalt or concrete very much.

I just ordered a new 72" Hustler HD with the 40 hp Vanguard EFI and the new oil-guard system. I will now be running two 72" Hustler HD's, one with 24" AT101's, and the other with your 26" tires, of which I will most likely change to the Versa Turf brand.

I have these on a TTII 61" with no complaints at all. I went with them cause my TTII uses a 26" rear and I did not want to change the deck to run the AT101s. I know of MANY who run the TTII with at101s though without issue and it is not an issue to adjust the deck. Just not something I elected to do at the time.

The Carlisle WT300 looks to be a very suitable tire as well. I read the reviews and people appear very satisfied with the product.

@puppypaws yea, I really have no complains at all with the wt300s. in fact I find myself questioning rather the versa tracs would actually be MORE aggressive in a negative sense (which would make the wt300s better possibly). But I am pretty sure that will be the next tire I try (the versa tracs).

I was mowing in very wet conditions yesterday with a 1600 lb 72" Hustler HD and the AT101's never lost grip once. These tires not only make the machine operate differently, they also keep the mower much cleaner for the fact it never spins and throws mud underneath the tanks or onto the mower deck, whereas with normal turf tires this is an ongoing problem in wet conditions.

Thanks Ridin, i knew i remembered reading that someone put them on a Ferris 3200.

For me, ive narrowed it down to getting the 24" at101's or getting the 26" wt300's. For me, its a matter of which tire will do less turf damage. I read so many positives about the AT's, but it doesnt seem like there is as much feedback for the WT's.

The only time I get any of what could be described as any sort of damage is when driving over grass that is very thin and the soil is damp, or when driving over bare dirt areas where the bars leave cleat marks. That is with my AT's.

I haven't had any experience with the 300's yet, and may never get any. If I were to get a machine with 26" rear's on it, I'd get the VT tires first and if I wasn't happy or satisfied, I'd drop back to the AT's. They have saved me from spinning in wet areas next to rivers etc., or on wet hills so many times, I can't really see going to any other tire, but would at least give the VT's a shot in the 26" size since they are made for turf use like the AT's are. Those that run the 300's seem to like them and I have no reason to doubt their like of them either.

I run 26x12x12 Carlisle Tru Power tires. Now they are not for the faint of heart. I don't use it on super picky lawns but one must understand the terrain of South Louisiana as to why I run them. That 997 would get stuck on wet clover, but since I put them on 5 or so years ago I have never been stuck. I run AT 101's on my 994r. Bar tires are the tires I prefer, but if I had to I'd stick Versa-Turfs on the 997r.

What are you running on your 997?

This has been my experience with my WT300s thus far. I've had them on since 9/2018 I think.

Being that I've got 3 more years of warranty on it I'm not too concerned pushing it and considering what @Brucey said. But yeah, It still puts hours on it and uses a lot of gas. But since I'm only allowed one vehicle and I want a sports car I've gotta make do. I may buy a 4 wheeler though!

You're basically where I was exactly ten years ago (I'm now 26 and no longer in the biz like I was but I do still have truck, trailer, skid etc for select clients). If I would have skipped building my '98 Camaro to go as fast in a straight line as possible, and gotten an older diesel truck instead of borrowing my parents for those few years, I would have been so much better off when I went to college… with that said, you're only young once. Get your sports car, but also buy an old truck and work your way up as you can. now more than ever, the money is there that you could easily have both in a year. It gets a lot harder to save money once you move out in a few years, dont forget that!

Still zipping around on the mower! I plan to keep it that way as expanding out of the neighborhood wouldn't make sense with the demand I have in it. I am thinking some speed modifications that would not void the warranty. Prolly doesn't exist but 22mph would be awesome.

And also, who needs a truck when your mower can do this…?
