I thought I would ask for some help on this.In the past my cards have listed all the services that I offer..Mowing,rototilling,power edging, tree & shurb trimming, spring & fall clean-up,design & plant installation. Now I'am adding turf and ornamental applications,I want to cut down on the wording, but I want more than just "lawn care".I'am thinking..Lawn & Landscape Maintenance..Lawn Fertilization and weed control..Design & Installation..that gives me 3 lines, what do you think? To all you applicators, how do you word this service on your cards?THANKS JOHN

I just list the big stuff and let the card speak for itself. I have Landscape Maintenance incorporated in to the bussiness title and then I have, Lawn Mowing
Gravely brush mowing
Planting-Pruning
Spring-Fall Cleanups Etc.

Its a jugling act trying to put enough info on the card with out it being to hard to read, and cluttered. List your big ticket items and don't worry about the small stuff. Keep in mowing, Jon G GLM.

Employee's Title

On my personal business cards I have our shop phone as well so I can ensure that employees have all the main numbers in case of emergencies.

I have been told by some printing companies and some corporate bigshots, that you shouldn't go too crazy on filling up your business card. It's not really meant as a form of advertising, it's basically meant to hold the basic info. of who you are and how to reach you. Most likely by the time someone gets hold of your business card they already know something about you and your services. Someone must have handed them your card by referal or discussion so now they need to call you for the information they desire. This is just my opinion and basically I followed what they advised. My cards only have my company name and the pertinent information to get a hold of me, and also my name. I have gotten a pretty good handful of compliments from people, but then would they really tell me the truth to my face. Just my two cents.

We are currently only using the front side, however, we have been talking about using both sides. Our card is pretty simple and very easy to read.
It contains:
- logo
- Company name
- phone number
- my name
- address
- web site address (site still being made)
- the only services we have listed are: Landscaping, Maintenance, & Lawn Care.

Very simple...We tried putting all of our services on there when we first stared. It was a little hard to read so we changed it and have had about the same success.
