Good test. Interesting that the std 3 way worked as well as the '4 way's' you have listed.

That is all I use for late season apps is plain ol amine 3-way. Proof in the pudding now.

 

I have done this for years. I spray as long is the soil temp is 35 degrees or higher. All I use is a standard 3-wat product and I have no weeds the next spring.

Thank you for the test. Just to be clear, was it the generic 3 way that scored excellent out of these speedzone, T-Zone and a generic 3?

The Speedzone, T-Zone and generic three-way were about the same; no significant difference.
This may be because the dandelions were less than 6 inches in diameter--relatively small--perhaps easy to kill.

 

Momentum is used for cool temps.

The 24d is brutal on dandelions.

 

Real late season I sprayed some ground ivy that had been real troublesome in two client's yard. I used Momemtum FX-2 with a hand sprayer. When I looked at the yard this Spring I didn't see any of the ground ivy, but will check when it gets a little warmer to see if it is truly gone.

 

After a couple frosts the plant really starts storing carbs up for winter. Thus the uptake goes right down throughout the plant. Timing is critical as you want to get it on early enough so the grass can fill in the voids after you kill the weeds. Literally can turn spring into spot spray apps rather than blanket. It really works!

I dont know what's in those trade name products he is using so I didn't want to say that but yeah a little 2,4-d and what's the big deal. It would probably kill them through snowmaybe
