The commercial lot behind my backyard has scrub trees overhanging my property and will soon destroy my wood privacy fence.

If I can get the property owner to simply cut down the tree line, what is practical to use for chemical control on the stumps and remaining vines?

Take your pick, and have at it...!

Thanks for the replies from all. A pro tree pruner warned me that any mulberry cut would grow back aggressively. It would be ideal if I could get a backhoe to dig everything out, but it's not possible unless the acreage owner does that in development of the land. I'll be happy if they just do some cutting!

I'll get something with Imazapyr and spray it on remaining green plant material.

I am doubtful that they grow back aggressively.
Our local mulberries do not seem to be spreading. Single trees in the park and along the walking path.
Probably because birds have spread the seed after eating the fruit.
Fruit is tasty--maybe you could make some wine...?

I sure hope you have an applicators license, imazapyr is a RUP, and you better know what you’re doing before you go applying it.

Better yet. Have the property owner contract a licensed applicator.
Yeah, after reading everything here, I really shouldn't apply anything that is outside my boundary. And I don't want to put down a chemical on my own property that could affect the neighbors' desirable trees.

Time to contact the owner and politely ask them to take all the action.
