I know areas will be different but a perfect rectangle of 2 acres per cut? Basically just mowing and no obstacles. Well yes horse poop may be an obstacle. ...lol It's farm land bahia that a few horses roam. I have a 72 inch so should not take long. Thanks

I'm trying to figure out how to price fairly for acreage accounts myself. I'm trying to grow into that area pretty heavily. I've heard most people charge $75-$100 per acre including trimming and blowing. I'd feel safe with $75 just for mowing and maybe more than $100 if it required a lot of trimming.
Dang, All these prices you all are throwing out is crazy! We charge $150-200 per acre. Granted that depends if its like a bucking bronco or a nice smooth surface. No less than $150 no trimming. You have to take into account the wear and tear your machine will be going through with all that mowing. I'm operating out of the PNW ( Washington State ) to be exact.

$35 to $50 an acre? Yikes, that's low!

Here 2 acres would be $80ish for what you describe IF there is no trimming or blowing. with trimming (depending on how much) and blowing around $100.

Acres start at $65-$70ish. each additional acre is a tad less per.

Regardless of the seat, I'd make sure I knew exactly how bumpy or how many holes there were before bidding. Just because you don't feel them as bad doesn't mean you aren't beating the heck out of your equipment, even if it is "commercial grade". I learned my lesson the hard way after quoting a 1.5 acre yard that I walked the edge of, because I really underestimated how bumpy it would be on my mower.

Remember
The typical yard requires maneuvering

As the acres open up into “full stick” mowing the ratio isn’t 1:1
You will find that four acres may take the same time as 1.5

Or you could have four acres of apple orchards that takes four times as long.

There are different multiplication factors (ratios) for the different “kinds” of mowing

However pasture is not “turf” .. so their factors are different

The wide deck Z is made with large acre turf in mind
Most people are using them on areas much smaller than they are intended for... which is why you can see prices of 2-4 acres look nearly the same.

If you priced mowing , trimming and blowing as separate numbers .. you would see more difference
But the typical price is mow/trim/blow

The trim and blow ratio typically drops as the acres increase (not always... but quite commonly)

This is why $40 per acre thought process doesn’t yield $160 for four acres.

Pricing is based on time, not surface area.

Those of you with little mowers should leave that alone. Those things of us with big mowers could mow that in 30 minutes or less in good conditions and maybe an hour being rough. I don't think $75 is a bad rate. I can mow the first picture in 25 minuets the second in 8 minuets and the 3rd in about 20 minuets. I used to have a 50" mower and now I have a 72" and the difference in production is enormous.

Yeah, unionize lawn care...I haven't had that good of a laugh in a couple weeks. And I've watched a lot of comedies lately.
