So only the FS series have blow out ports on the shroud cover?
The FXs do. They didn't, don't know when they started to add them......

Regarding the two finned cylinder blow-out ports on the commercial grade Kawasaki engines, how critical are they to have for residential applications? I believe the cooling fan on the top of the engine, draws cool air down onto the cylinder fins. The fan grill/screen holds back notable debris from getting through, preventing the collection of debris on the cylinder cooling fins....right?

On residential machines without blow-out ports, it surely wouldn't hurt to annually blow compressed air from below the fins to disturb and loosen any such accumulation, with hope it will find it's way out.

Its importent to clean out under the cover more than annually, they collect a lot of debris after a short time. This is one more reason to ditch the stock intake and cover because now I dont worry about a filter in my way and I can just hit those ports full blast with my blower after every mow. I know Ive said it already but you're REALLY overthinking this, serious analysis paralysis going on here.

Would you believe it? Ordering through Russo Power Equipment out of Elgin, IL (near my house), Kawasaki refuses to sell to me part number 59066-7044-753 without me providing my specific engine part number. Given that the housing is for a difference series engine, I cannot provide the required information. So my order was cancelled.

Go to a different dealer. Why would Kawasaki care?

If you go to the dealer, just order it in person.
It’s likely the dealer has put that feature into their website to help curb returns due to ordering the wrong part.

Again, making it harder than it is. Just get the part number and plug it into Google and order the part somewhere else. This is an easy problem to get around.

Where did you get that Pt number ? No, I really don't care......
A quick check of that number comes back as a metal fan case......Correct ? And checking my usual haunts comes up as NLA. Ebay has some used ones.....

You have a good fan case, all you have to do is order the Af, mount it and be done with it.

But if you want to go down a rabbit hole go here

Just click on 4 stroke engines.
