Just bought the pb-770t and it is awesome. In my opinion it out blows the br600 and is far more comfortable. the air conditioned back is real nice in the hot weather. My guys love it and we cant wait for the leaves to fall!!

I have used the BR600's for a while and was about to buy one, but decided to try something different. HIGHLY RECOMMDED BLOWER.

I love mine also. I would not say it as a comfortable as the BR600 though, but I do think it has a little more power and it does feel good on my back.
The other day I took out my exhaust screen and to my suprise when I pulled off that "L" bracket over the exhaust I noticed that it blocks off between 1/2-1/3 of the port. I went ahead and left it off.

to each his own in the comfort department. I just really like the way your back stays nice and cool. But your exhaust "modification".... did that give more power? any effect to the machine?.... I mean its on there for a reason... Right?

I own the Maruyama BL8100, love it. I paid $389. It is the lightest big blower around and is the quietest. Very comfortable to wear.

Echo has proven that they have been coming out with reliable products even when they first come out. That cannot be said about other brands. But being a very conservative person, I still would hold out my judgement until I see people are still excited about the PB770 two years later. That's just me. Shindaiwa used to come out with bullet proofed products until the EB8510 which proof to be a bomb!!!

I think this is basically the same engine they have been using for about 10 years. If I remember right , it is the same engine that is in my Echo 650 that I have had 8 years and still runs.

To the person that asked the price, I do not know what they run at a dealer. I bought mine off a Lawnsite member that bought several at a open house earlier this year and sold some. I paid 425 shipped to me. The reason I bought from him, besides the price, was because our distributor T.O.P.E. were not releasing these to their dealers till some of the 755 stock went down [or so we were told]

I bought one in April of this year. Overall, a pretty good blower. However, it doesn't blow as hard as the numbers Echo provides (765cfm at the tube and 201 mph). I also have a Stihl BR600. The Echo does blow a little harder than the Sthil. I used to have a Redmax 8000. That thing was the best and most powerful blower I ever had. It was getting a little old in the tooth this spring so I sold it and got the Echo PB770. Before buying I tried a Redmax 8050, a Shindaiwa EB802 and a Shindaiwa EB8520. I found the Echo to blow the hardest but definitely not as hard as the old Redmax 8000/8001. Shindaiwa is coming out with a revised version of the EB8520 called the eb854. According the numbers the dealer gave me, this blower produces: 762 cfm at the pipe with an airspeed of 224 mph and 1349 cfm in the housing. These numbers are from Shindaiwa. He's getting a demo model at the end of the month and I'll get to use it for a day. So, we'll see if this new Shindaiwa offering surpasses the Echo PB770.

I love my 770 as well, the fan on the back was a luxury with the heat during the summer. I also like how you can adjust the top part of the shoulder strap to make it real comfortable for your self. I got a chance to use it on a small area of leaves and from the experience i can not wait to use it in the fall.

Ever try that shindaiwa yet your dealer was getting in?

Yes I did. I ended up buying one. The Shindaiwa eb854 is an incredible blower. Power-wise, it puts out more air than the Echo PB770. It blows things like crazy and really good on fuel. I used to think my old Redmax 8000 was the strongest blower I had but this Shindaiwa outblows it. It does have some negatives. It's heavy, about on par with the Redmax 8000/8001/8050 but it sits well. It's also a bit hard to start on cold mornings but I've managed to get that problem fixed by setting the throttle to half-way when first starting. It takes a bit of force to turn the 80 cc engine over but it's not too bad. Last, the thing puts out so much air that the tubes keep shaking loose. Overall, this blower is incredible. I'll have a better review when the leaves start to fall but so far, I'm very happy. The new H4 engine purrs like a kitty kat. Great machine.

Just ordered my Echo 770 a minute ago. In 3-5 days I'll have my own review up. I absolutely cannot wait. I wanted a redmax blower for so long after using one, but now I'm glad I went with the Echo.

I know their reliability. I have had my Echo pb403t (blower) and srm210 (trimmer) since 2004. The blower is still my primary (and runs strong) until the 770 gets here. The trimmer still runs strong but I replaced it with a redmax only because it was way lighter.

I went in for a new blower because I was tired of my little Stihl br340.
I had no idea of the PB770 model. I just kept being persistant about the large properties that were loaded with leaves. I told him several times give me the most CFM blower you have. All they had on display were the Sthil BR600 and Echo PB755.

After a few miniutes of talking, and me yaking about the amount of leaves he said....well we have one PB770. He had to dig it out from the bottom of the Boxes with the 755's on top. I think they were hiding it to push the 755's out.

Love the cold weather starts with the 770. 2 pulls without priming and it's fired up and ready. No more warm up is needed. The straps are way comfortable and carries nice. The tube is short enough that sitting in the bed of a truck takes alot less space.
I'd say with the versatility of the 770 you can leave the 9hp walkbehind blower at home. It moves leaves fast. For leaves, wether their ground up wet or dry it takes no time to move with this blower. I can't waite for next summer to blow grass clippings, I'm sure it will blow them 3 doors down. And for snow, it just may replace the snow shovel.

{the grandkids loved the moster piles of leaves it made in no time,
dirt boogers were no fun to clean up later though...:).}

Thanks,

Tax included was about $515.
I literaly was on a job for 2 hours blowing, and just said enough of that.
I came back with that blower and knocked it out liike I got some kind of new technology that was light years apart.

I don't know if there's a way that it needs to be broke in. But I just took it and ran with it. Heck of a blower for sure.

I am wondering the same. I'm waiting on mine to get here in 3-5 days. Scheduling all of my cleanups AFTER It gets here lol. I have a Echo pb403t now thats 6 years old still runs good but I'm ready for the chief to get here. The 403 will serve well as secondary for an employee to use on these cleanups. I'm so excited for this dang thing.

I purchased one this month and ...wow what performance. Bought it on a no tax day the Dealer is a great salesman, i looked at it the day befor kinda wanted to do the deal with my regular saleman. I had Echo PB413 (gave to a cousin in the bus. Tuesday) and a PB 500, and the 770T will blow the decals off those. Wish I could afford 1 more for leaf jobs. I will use PB 500 for regular Lawn Care cleanups and try to use the 770Ts for leaf cleanups only...if the 770T doesn't spoil me. Christmas early... thats all I can say!

How is the cold weather starting on the 770? I have pb-255 handheld and it is the most cold blooded echo I own. Also hard to start in very warm weather. I mix 50% 87 oct 100% gas with 50% E10 91 octane so I can get reduced ethanol issues.
Anyhow wanted to use this for snow removal when conditions warrant use of a blower. If it's cold.blooded....??

I plan on using mine for "some" snow as well.

It was 28 degrees out the other morning.
without priming......it took four pulls on choke, and went straight to work with no bog down

My old stihl would have not cranked at that temp.

I used crap oil mixed with 91 octane clear premium non oxygenated fuel.
Now if I can find some good oil and a better plug, I'd be set.

The non oxy fuel was $3.29 pr gallon....I didn't spill a drop.:)
