Read an article saying home depot is dropping ego from stores as depot resets.wonder who will fill this vaccum. was planning on running my ego till the batteries kick dust, and deciding on battery equipment after that.maybe got something to do with Briggs filing bankruptcy

the more i go to HD.. the more i don't want to go to HD.. getting pretty put out with our local store.. more junk and the good stuff is only sold online.. and them saying that it is a "special" order that way.. no discounts.. that's what i was told..

Well crap. I just bought at homedepot my first battery op piece of equipment for lawn work ... The ego 24" hedge trimmer. Today. Even bought the 2 year warranty extension. Well at least it has a 90 day try and see. A third of the cost of my redmax trimmers. I don't expect it to compete but would be a nice addition if it is any good.

I've been a shopper at HD for years because it doesn't suck as much as Lowe's. With ace hardware stepping up, keeling supply and 2 great lumber yards I don't need HD. They are junkier than ever and almost never have everything on my list.

Maybe it’s because my closest HD is pretty new, but I really like it. Helpful employees, carry echo and Honda if I happen to need something for one of those. And a Starbucks make your own coffee, hot chocolate machine. Only problem I have is Lowe’s is within a mile as the crow flies from my bouse, and Ace 1/2 mile from it. And both are great for miscellaneous items, paint, nuts / bolts, plumbing what nots, tools, etc.
That said, I buy my lawn equipment from dealers, not big box.
