Just bought one of the Ryobi blowers that has a battery powered electric start. So far it's...ok, the elec start is awesome and it's pretty light, the battery charges while the blower is on. The only downside that I see right now is the lack of blowing power but it still works good for beds and drives. To be fair I am comparing it to my husqvarna 356BT and my 145BT. For $129 at a refurb store it was a good buy. Anybody else bought one?

My new Stihl BR600 is amazingly easy to start. Of course that may change over time. Couldn't imagine needing a starter. The Red Max takes a few more pulls usually and harder pulls at that.

A 25cc bp is way too weak for anything. Electric start is not going to help any.

To get an electric start for a big bp will add at least 3 pounds with the battery and the motor. I guess for lighter ones like the Stihl BR600 or Maruyama BL8100 that is in 21 pounds range, 3 more pounds is not going to hurt. I am not so sure adding one on the Redmax EBZ8050 is that good an idea because it is already at 26 pounds range and many complain that is not even the true weight. YOu don't want 30 pounds putting on and off your back.

Works ok for general use but if I had to blow wet leaves or such then I would use the Husqvarna's. My other blowers are over powered even in low throttle. (when using around the landscape beds)

The picture shows 350 cfm, while the specs in the link state 375 cfm. Apparently it's the same size engine as my handheld which is 320 cfm and it has plenty of power.
Nice purchase I'd say. Good price !
