Engine Oil Analysis

Has anyone ever had an engine oil lab analysis done on your synthetic oil at 100 hrs. If so, what were the results?

Also, does the atmospheric temp determine how fast the oil breaks down?

I'm curious to know if the oil really needs changing at the 100 hr. interval recommended by most mower manufacturers.

I'm not penny pinching, the cost is of no concern to me. I would just prefer to change oil only when needed. My current oil, Vanguard 15W-50 fully synthetic is at 105 hrs. and as far as appearance is concerned, it still looks new.

I intend to change oil soon and change to Amsoil 15W-50 synthetic small engine oil with 200 hr. extended oil life. Also Amsoil extended service life oil filter.

Here is a link to Project Farm's oil tests, all of them. I believe he has covered just about every oil out there and everything you have ask he has answered .

Have you previously watched all his videos, and If so can you direct me to any specifically?
I started following him a few years ago.....Is there one specific video, no. Look through his oil play list for the oils you are interested in. I'm more interested in tools and toasters like that.

Have you ever had an oil analysis done at Blackstone labs?
No, never tested the oil in any of our "lawn mower engines". Or our trucks or equipment.
Do your PM like the manual says and you shouldn't have any problems.

Below is a link to Blackstone Youtube channel. If you do send a sample in, let us know the results.
