I always try to learn new things on here, and I have over the years, this is where I first heard of my eric elm gate assist, saw pics of the different trimmer and blower racks. Great site. but many different opinions.

 

love gettin' the green,from cuttin' the green. i am asked how can you stand to be outside when it's 90 degrees and 90 percent humidity? i guess it's the same reason i have a sweatshirt on when it's 60 degrees outside.

On two of my trucks I have "WE MOW" and "WE MOW2" on the license plates.

I guess I'm sold out to cutting grass.

The third one I've been meaning to put "WECUTIT" but I'm afraid everyone would drive by me with a disgusted look on their face.

My wife HATES the fact I'm always on the computer, but she doesn't hate the fact she gets to work part time and drive a new vehicle all the time.

 

I don't know why I'm a fanatic about landscaping and talking about it all the time. There isnt really any real money in it for 90% of us and we probably won't retire from just lawn cutting. I just love it for some reason.

My wife has always been interested in what I'm reading on here. She's actually read a few threads herself. I'm lucky in more ways than I can explain.

She also doesn't hate NOT having to work and driving a brand new vehicle even if its a minivan right now for the kids.

I'd be gunning for a ZTR if not because my lawn is only about two thousand sqft. and only take 10 minutes using a 21"!!!!

 

i love being my own boss, making own hours, having everything i own paid off, working out doors, making alot of money in a short period of time, turning a yard off long grass into a work of art with nice strips...i love it all and don't care what people think. after i graduate with my BSN (nursing degree) i will keep my business going with 25-35 yards because i just love doing it

That's true to an extent, don't get me wrong. I work for my customers because if I didn't have customers, I would be in business. Also, I will say I enjoy making my own hours. I love being able to choose which 80 hours every week I work. :laugh::laugh:

 

My dealer told me that I was there more than any of their LCO customers!!!! I was just there Saturday playing with their trimmers and blowers and eyeing on the Toro Commercial 21.

i love lawns and plants. i have always been interested since a kid living next to a forest, being in the boy scouts and going backpacking all over the country, and in europe.

my wife appreciates my addictions and does make fun of me sometimes but also she likes what i do and finds it interesting. guess that is why i married her, she CAN stand me!

 

Yeah, my GF makes fun of me for talking about mowers too much, and when we are out, if I see someone mowing, I like to see what mower they are running. I remember the first time I saw a stander around here, at first I thought it was just a guy on a velke, but I had to stop and watch him for awhile, thankfully Emily wasnt my GF at that time!! OR when we stop in the dealers for a quick part or something, she now waits outside, due to the last time when we had to go check out the new mowers for awhile, she could care less about mowers, trucks, trimmers, blowers, etc. they are all the same to her, she was the one that asked me if my mowers were Lazers when we were standing right next to my trailer of WBs!! Other than that, she is great though!

Well, technically on paper I do have an LCO........I started a company to fund my habit and also to have a company set up so my boys can learn how to run a business Granted my only customer is our other company but my two boys 6 & 9 are "on the payroll" and do quite well with miscellaneous landscape projects. My 9yo started cutting and trimming this year as well. Gotta start them young and give them some insight into entrepreneurial drive!

Yep, I am working on this angle too. My wife want to visit China and I don't want to even I am from Hong Kong. This would be my ticket to the commercial mower!!!!:laugh::laugh:

 

that is pretty funny about the deck! never saw it coming. i have to get out and build a deck patio but the funds for the wood are not there right now, wife does not have an income again right now(long story)
