I’m in eastern North Carolina. Coming off about a 2 week stretch of avg soil temps in the 30s

my flumioxion label doesn’t state safe on zoysia. Asking around and I’ve gotten some hard no’s and a few yes’s.

probably more based on location. Has anyone seen a label with zoysia on it or have confident experience applying it to zoysia?

Flumioxazin, the active ingredient in Flumi EZ Herbicide, can be used to control weeds in dormant zoysia grass. However, it should only be applied when the grass is dormant in late fall and before it starts growing again in late winter or early spring.

When to apply Flumi EZ Herbicide

  • Apply in late fall when the grass is dormant
  • Apply before the grass starts growing again in late winter or early spring
  • Do not apply to actively growing grass

What to look for

  • Check for green stems or leaves under the canopy
  • Check protected areas and south facing slopes first

Other herbicides that can be used on zoysia

  • Foramsulfuron: Can be used to control annual bluegrass
  • Glyphosate: Can be used to control Poa annua
  • Glufosinate: Can be used to control annual bluegrass
  • Simazine: Can be used to control annual bluegrass
  • 2,4-D + MCPP: Can be used to control weeds
I have no experience with it so take it with a grain of salt......

Some say you can spray it on St. Augustine, but I found it to be a big NO. I did some test runs with it and it did NOT like it. Of course around here, you can spray water on St. Augustine and it will die, so take it for what it’s worth….
