What is your cost per ounce of the fungicide\labor rate\markup?
Allowing for your possible 25.00 stop fee...............spraying 6500 sq.ft. for me would take 20 minutes........rolling out and rolling in the hose.......flagging the lawn. Applying 3-5 gallons of water per K for good coverage at 1.2 to 2.4 oz's Eagle per K.

80.00 per app.

 

I just double the cost. If it cost me 50.00 to spray I'll charge 100

 

we have a formula already in place for apps, and fungicide are triple that

 

I agree about $25 arrival and overhead fee, plus a dollar a minute for labor and equipment wear and tear, an extra dollar a minute for skilled labor (10 years college or ten years experience or for extra expensive equip), plus cost of products used. Extra if there is any guarantee or any chance you will be called back for problems.

 

I'm with Grassman, 2.5x to 3x the app price.

Most of the time we are not doing more than 1 or 2 fungicide apps in a row, the extra time needed for diagnosis, record keeping, material measuring, travel etc., they are little things but they all adds up.

Depends....if it's part of a program...you might have a hard time charging much more. If it's an add on or 1 time app...you have to charge for your expertise. It's the most expensive thing you can do to a lawn...the price should reflect that.

 

I charge twice the retail price of the chemical(s) used. My minimum charge however is $35.00.
