today i bought a new trimmer head and when i installed it i found that it wont spin free like the old one did.but with it removed it (the shaft)spins like new
(w/o the head).so on with my ?
how do i install my new head to the trimmer?
i have this new part

everything is apart.
it fits right it just binds with it installed,the shaft is NOT bent or marred
someone plz help my community wants to charge me an xtra 50. bucks if i dont cut my grass by this weekend :hammerhead: :nono:

Sure you didn't leave out a spacer?
that i can see there is no spacer for under the head but there is one that will
fit on top but only 2-3 threads of the nut grab and the head is loose,it flops up and down.im afraid it will strip the plastic hex on the bott. of the head.

i ended up getting it put together,i put a felt washer under the head http://gasketstogoblog.com/2010/02/06/felt-washers/
it gave it the space and took out the play the old head had :clapping:
its 4 am other wise i would give it a test drive now lady nextdoor wouldnt like that :sleeping: :dizzy: :laugh:
but thanks for that spacer idea!
just what i needed to get the ball rolling Thumbs Up
lol 4 am i could had rebuild the heads on my car faster. dang trimmer ;)
