Different places different companies it is all going to vary. However, you are talking 1k -2k average. Depending on how much and what you have covered. Ours is more then some and less then others. However, our policy covers gen liab. inland marine, auto, snow plowing, chemical, and fire. That is why I didn't put how much ours is. Last year Gen liab, inland marine, and fire cost us around $1,600 for the year.

That's a pretty good price. Of course ours covers theft, damage, all the bells and whistles. However, huge difference in price. We pay about 6k a year. That includes 1mil gen, auto, snow, chemical, inland marine, fire, etc.
Course I am in Jersey the insurance, and attorney capital of the nation(lol). I think that 1 mil gen liab around here would probably be around $500 to $600.

I know of others around here that are paying even more then we are. However, most LCO's just starting out probably do not need much more then a 1mil gen.

Btw, Nekos I agree with you that is expensive! And customers wonder why I will not cut lawns for less then what we charge (lol).

1/2 million, most bells and whistles about $700.00 a year.. Not too bad for NJ...

Ouch some of the prices you Americans pay for business insurance is a lot more than I do in canada and seems auto insurance is opposite.

I pay $875 a year for 5mil liability, $25 000 in equipment, $5000 in tools, snow plowing and a few others I can't remember.

$700 a year 2mil liability, just for grass. Landscaping/construction it goes up a bit, add snow removal and your looking at $2k+. Some companies in my area pay big money for snow removal insurance. Even when it's stated in the contract that they're not responsible for slips & falls, people still continue to go after the insurance company...

Call an insurance company, it's a free quote. Instead of getting a price between $380 to $1600 you'll get a more precise price.
