How to correct Kentucky Bluegrass lawn with LOTs of Quackgrass in it?

I have a customer whose lawn is KBG but unfortunately has LOTs of quackgrass in it. Customer would like to get rid of the quackgrass. Only way I can see this happening is 2 cycles of roundup 10 to 14 days apart followed by a complete reseeding during late summer (August 15 - Labor Day). Am I correct, OR is there a simpler, less aggressive method.
Attached are 2 photos, click to enlarge.

Thanks.

It's already spread. The damn quackgrass is ALL OVER THE PLACE.
Thinking not, but maybe someone can come up with a less agressive idea. This guy's lawn is pretty big - 15K worth of lawn alone.

Theres really nothing else. There is no selective herbicide for it. You cant pull it by hand because if you dont get all of it the rhizomes will spread through the air.

Its round up or nothing.
Pretty much what I figured.
  • Watched one neighbor let it grow long and paint glyphosate on it with a paint brush. Complete failure.
  • Watched another neighbor sit on a tiny stool and hand pick it. Complete failure.
