Husqvarna 125B Blower - Fuel Line

Hi all, I ordered and replaced the fuel line, fuel filter and bulb on my Husqvarna 125B leaf blower. (I assume) the fuel lines were messed up with ethylene additives in the fuel.

I am almost certain that the lines are connected correctly. Everything fit perfectly. I put the 2% gas+oil mixture in the tank and pushed the bulb a few time. To my dismay, the bulb did not fill up with gas, I am stumped. What could cause this????

Any help / advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

My guess--you have the fuel lines reversed. The tank pickup line (the one with the filter usually goes to bottom connection on carb, then a line from top of carb to short hose barb on bulb, then line from long hose barb on bulb to tank. This method is for primer bulbs not attached to carb.

It is exactly as I described --determine which line extends into tank with fuel filter at the end, attach this line to bottom fuel line barb on carb (choke lever side of carb. Then fuel line from top of carb attaches to the short (vaccum) hose barb on primer bulb. Then fuel line from long barb on primer goes back into tank. This allows primer to pull fuel from tank, thru carb, and return to tank. Photo is attached--not sure it adds any to above explaination!
