I currently have an Echo PB-265LN leaf blower that I've had for about 8 years. It has run flawlessly but with a big front and back yard and long driveway surrounded by oaks I've finally decided I need a more powerful blower. I've been looking at two blowers - an Echo PB-770H and a Husqvarna 570BTS.
Both machines are pretty comparable with the Echo being slightly less powerful. However, it is also $60 less than the Husqvarna and I don't know if the differences are functionally enough to justify the added cost of the Husqvarna. For example, I haven't been able to find any information on how much of a functional difference there is between 33 and 37 Newtons. I'm partial to the Echo because of the reliability of the blower I have and the 5 year warranty.
  • CFM - Husqvarna: 768 Echo: 756
  • Air speed mph - Husqvarna: 236 Echo: 234
  • Force Newtons - Husqvarna: 37 Echo: 33
  • Sound dB- Husqvarna: 76 Echo: 74
  • Vibration m/s - Husqvarna: 1.8 Echo: ??
  • Warranty - Husqvarna: ?? Echo: 5 years
  • Price - Husqvarna: $589.99 Echo: $529.99
I'm going to call both companies tomorrow to get more information about each machine. I'd like to hear what you think of these blowers. One of the things that could push me to one or the other is if one has a waist belt to help carry the weight.
Thanks for any advice.

I was going to switch from Echo to Husqvarna this year. Went to the dealer…. No stock. Not in what i was shopping for anyway. Asked if he could order product for me. Yes he could. It will likely be 60 to 90 days before it comes in though, he told me. “If it even comes by then.” He added. Went to other dealers… same story. Couldn’t get product in a reasonable time (10 days to me is reasonable.). So, I went back to Echo. No problems with Echo whatsoever. Just think Husqvarna has a good product too. I like my Husqvarna chain saw, (I have more than one saw, but only one Husqvarna.) and wanted to try them for blowers and trimmers.

Our guys love the 570bts, we have 7 of them, plus 3 Redmax clones of the same model. The problem from my point of view, and they are great running blowers, is getting parts. Back in June, I needed 2 swivels and a throttle cable. Got the cable in 3 days, but the swivels, I was told, are back ordered to January of 23. So I called my Redmax dealer, gave him the Husky part number. He didn't even have to look it up, he knew the part number, said they are back ordered for 6 months. The good news is, they did show up at the end of Sept......

I don't deal with Echo, so I don't know how their supply chain issues are, maybe some one who works on the will chime in.....

Just something to keep in mind when you figure out what you are going to buy.......

I use an old 770T I got on Marketplace. Handles piles pretty well, at least when they’re dry. Assuming no availability issues, it might be nice to have the Husqvarna. 12% more Newtons than the Echo.

Note: I have far less experience than JBaker, so weight my comment accordingly.

I live on a wooded lot with an open back yard and front yard surrounded by oaks and hickory. I have a 570 bts and love it. I’ve used exho blowers and they werent nearly as powerful as this one, but they were still nice to use. Have the extra cfm makes a huge difference in the time it will take to push the leaves back in the woods. Get the extra cfm. Both brands are good. Id say whoever has the higher cfm or best deal.
