Im not sure if its dealer issues or Hustler. I've got a superZ that while still well within the warranty period had several issues that only two issues were fixed under warrany.

- second week of ownership the hydro electric fan quit running. Excuse from dealer was that hustler woulnd't pay him to fix this issue and that the fan wasn't really needed anyway.

- 3rd week of ownership 45 hours on the mower the hour meter quit working it was replaced under warranty. I paid nothing

- Week 6 the electric clutch FLEW OFF the mower...came out from under it and went rolling past the mower! that was replaced under warranty.

- week 8 suspension seat broke in 3 places....literally was like a mechanical bull while mowing nothing was holding it together inside. Dealer said hustler won't replace the seat under warranty. Told me to just fix it myself by welding the tubing inside back.

-Month #8 hour meter broke again. I had to pay for this replacement.

-Month #23 Hour meter broke again. I had to pay AGAIN for the replacement

-Month #23 one coil went bad only running on one cylinder. Dealer could not replicate the issue so he sent it back with me. I brough it to another "repair" shop and he replaced both coils and the mower now runs like a top.

-Month #24 Blades would randomly turn off on their own. Dealer once again could not replicate the issue and said its more then likely a pto switch. Charged me for this. Turns out it was a broken wire on the electric clutch. I spliced it and its been working great.

Is this normal for a dealer to do this? Not to mention he is the closest hustler dealer to me and still is 45 minutes away. He kinda has a make shift repair facility so I guess he really does not want to take on any more repair work then he can handle. Knowing what I know now I would have gone to a bigger local dealer. Overall its been a decent mower when its running its great when its not running I would like to set it on fire. Never had this many issues with a mower or dealer.

Given I did buy this mower under my wifes name to get the extended warranty given to residential owners. Dealer knew this from day one and dind't say he would have an issue.

Id take that pos back to him and make him buy it back, or fix the problems you are having. How a dealer that bad is still in business is beyond me. Could you imagine owning a car and taking it back to the dealer because something went in the engine and them telling you well your sol, fix it yourself. Thats rediculous

I totally agree with you one this.... I would take it back to the dealer and make him fix all the problem :nono:or :weightlifter:replace the mower with a new one...

from what your saying it sounds like piss poor assembly and service by the dealer.

i would contact hustler direct and complain about the dealer. hustler has great customer service they will probobly take care of you...
