You could put bigger tires on the machine.

 

What mower did you buy?

More than likely not. How fast is your mower? Did you check the speed with a GPS unit? Fast mowers cost money! The only way to get that mower to go faster is to trade it in on a faster mower.

Engines and hydraulic pumps are not cheap, thousand dollar repair bills easy
and any modifications such as these fully void any and all warranties.

Any and all damages that come as a result of this are your own fault, even if it can't be proven,
you may further find that repair shops and dealerships in some type of order no longer want to
work on your machine.

That having been said if you still want to proceed you're on your own from here on out
now there might be a governor adjustment that allows the engine to exceed its pre-set
max. rpm but as I said, you're on your own and whatever happens it's your fault.

 

It is a Bad Boy ZT. It is rated for 9mph but it feels sluggish. My father in-law has a John Deer z445 that is rated for 8.5mph but his feels faster than mine.

Well, they ain't gonna make them a whole lot faster, I think a lot of that is just
natural "drag" you're going to feel on any property those sizes, mine does 12+ mph
and on the street it feels as fast as a car...

My Z moves so good that if I come to a quick stop, the air coming up behind me
washes over me as it catches up and I can feel the breeze lol, so it is wild fast.

But sure enough even on properties as small as 3 acres, even if I do most of
what I can full stick and push it hard as I can, doesn't matter, it "drags"
So I think you're feeling some of that, mostly...

 

Anything over 7-8 mph and the grass wont look good when cut.

Dude! I told you about the EZtrak Z44 sometime ago.

It's got a 25 hp Kawasaki, Drive train is Dual hydros, Kanzaki Dup-10 Hydraulic pumps , Parker wheel motors, 22 inch drive wheels, and it's John Deere green & yellow.

You probably have the 26 HP BRIGGS & STRATTON ELS, Dual Integrated Hydrostatic Transaxles, and 20 inch rear wheels.

Yea! The Deere is going to respond quicker. It's made to.

The EZtrak z445 is only a 54" deck. I got the 60" deck with the Bad Boy ZT. I also have the 27hp Kohler engine.

The tires on my ZT series are listed as 20x10-8. The tires on the CZT series are listed as 23x8.5-12.

Would I be able to put the larger tires of my CZT series onto my ZT series?
