I sure agree; I've been on two commercial jobs that took the "backhoe bite".
One was 35 zones, all red 14g. The other was even more fun, they'd run out
of white common wire and used red. :hammerhead: :dizzy:
Now there's an advantage to doing all your jobs in 2 wire.

Wait until the day when valves are switched using IP address, and controlled by a main computer perhaps using fiber optics.

Maybe not in any of our lifetimes but who knows. Who would have thought that some day there would even be 2 wire when they were installing a mechanical clock 40 years ago. Not to mention the controllers of today..
 
I like that wireless deal that was posted a while ago; hopefully, they'll get that locked into a affordable central control. Takes the 521 out of the equation and adds another quandary; how do you locate a missing vb? Then there's the brain damage from the wireless signals to be considered.
