I debated this when I bought my 144z fifteen years ago. I was gonna go with a 52 cuz I thought it would be a compromise between the 48 and 60. But honestly, you can't get a 48 through a 4ft gate. And you can pretty much put a 60 anywhere you can put a 52. The dealer had the 44 with a sale price and you can get a 44 through a 4ft gate so I bought it. It has saved me from pushing a yard maybe 5 times in 15yrs. Even after all that the question is always up in the air.

No baggers or Blockers.
Velocity+.

Stock blades as shipped.
the 36 has the Advantage deck(not as good as the velocity, but decent) the 48, 51 and 62 all have the Velocity.

I can vouch for it being the best deck for northern grasses. Wet, dry, it just cuts and cuts great. I do REO work, so 6-7" high grass is the norm. It whacks it to 4" one pass, no clumps, almost full speed.
I've scraped the deck ONCE in 3 weeks....And that was because it was raining when I was cutting....ActualRain and a 8" lawn. You could see the mist flying out the deck LOL. Looked like the mower was Vaping.

If you are looking for a V-ride, fleet pricing is extended through June.
I got my 48's for 8400 each after sales tax. I did buy one, then 4 more. Had I bought all 5 at once, that per unit should be closer to 8000.

NOW, I DID have the Wheel motor fitting issue at 4.5 hrs, fittings were loose on both motor and pump on the right side. Dealer says1 in 3 has this issue from what he's seen....so if it's leaking on the trailer, take it right back. Wasn't pouring, but left a quarter sized drip on the trailer after overnight and a 15 lawn day before. Needed 3 Oz to refill to full..
Ha ha.....that's hilarious!........looked like they were vaping....

Sounds like an amazing mower. Not in the market just yet though.

Another point for me was the 36 48, 51" Vrides all run the same pumps and wheelmotors. I figure a 51 with the same pumps as a 36 would be stressed.
48 was nice middle of the road. The 61's use 12CC pumps though, there's that.

Hmmmm...I just don't think if I have a 36 going to a 48 would be too wise that's why I was thinking 52. Is it 52 or 51? Wasn't sure if you mistyped.

Anyways, might not be until next year so maybe there will be some updates?

It is 52. And next year, supposed to be a totally redesigned Vride. My thinking is,I'd rather have the tail end of a 10 year run, than a first year mower.

I've owned enough first model year cars to know that's not a mistake I want to make again.

Nice thing about a 36 and a 52, blades interchange. only need one size of blade. 2 on the 36, 3 on the 52.

Great point about the blades on a 36 and 52.

Wow, didn't know they were gonna redesign. True, always kinks to work out of redesigns....vehicles for sure too.

Maybe if I wait I can find an "old" model (this years model) for cheap next year?

This reminds me of the times living in Texas, when a 36" mower was required for nearly all back yard gates. God the feeling of going from a state where you use 36's, to a state where everything is double gated and has access with a 61". Oh, and god moving to a new state, with no residential sidewalks to ede, only a street curb. Add up the time savings between both scenarios. And on top of that, rates are 15% to 35% more here. What have I been missing out on?
