Extra work? They require less physical work than a belt. As far as maintenance they are very minimal. I don't know that machine really but it's a fixed deck hydro. Not much difference between brands. As long as it's good shape your good to go.

I have an older version of that, same deck and engine. Runs like a champ. if it doesn't have a weight on the front of the deck it will bounce up on every little bump. I bought 2 10lb weights and put them on top of each of the caster spindles and it provides a nice cut. I paid $950 last year and lots less work than a belt and it has an actual working reverse!!!

 

Looks in good shape with an engine re-power. Great, reliable units. They replaced the Toro and eXmark belts I was running many years ago before moving up to Tracers. Could not get a mulch kit on that unit back in the day.

 

I run an older model of that same mower, 36" hydro with pistol grips, but I've never had any issues with it, and it cuts pretty good as well.

From what i can tell lesco is not the one that made the mowers?

Are they still easy to buy parts for?

(Like for my toros i can buy parts almost any place....i dont want to run into a jam and have to wait weeks for parts?)

 

MTD/Cub Cadet made that one. Parts should be easy

 

Looks a lot like my old Great Dane Scamper, which was near bullet proof.

 

Wow! The similarities are striking.

 

If it was GD’s design will be hard get some parts. Lesco bought mowers from different suppliers. Think mine was a Scag.
