Hey guys,

Can anyone recommend some lightweight , loose fit pants for landscaping? I’ve actually worn loose fit Jordan windpants (no lining) for the last 10 years. I just do basic grass cutting 90% of the time and I had multiple pairs that now are obviously discontinued . They were super light/loose but enough to protect the legs during weed eating. Sadly, they are falling apart . Anyone wear any lightweight Duluth cargo pants or something similar that they can recommend for hot weather ? Thanks

I've worn Wolverine, Dickies, and 5.11 Tac pants. Best pants are the 5.11 but most expensive by far. The other two are comparable. Doesn't really bother me which between those three brands. They're all quality.

Check out Blaklader work pants. Their bantam weight is lightweight. They are softer brushed fabric. Really nice pocket configuration and built in knee pads. Cant feel the pads when you are walking around, but sure are nice for kneeling tasks.

I've had multiple pairs of blaklader and Duluth trading. Blaklader wins hands down.
European work clothes are so much better thought out than the typical American stuff.

Keeps the legs covered and the goods are kept with great air flow. View attachment 396050
I need to get some of those for us to try out. Its hot as hell in the summer here in Texas. Those might help with my tan so I don't look like a farmer when I'm skinny dipping. Gonna have to cut off the legs too!

I started wearing Columbia Silver Ridge pants last year and I wouldn't think of wearing anything else. I bought both the polyester and nylon versions, and the nylon worked out best for me. They are cool, light, breathable, and they don't stick to your legs when you sweat. They stay comfortable when wet and dry very quickly. The nylon has an added advantage of not only repelling water, but also body odor and other oils. Anytime I get grease on them I rub a little Go Joe or dish soap on them and it washes right out.

For the money..... wrangler from Walmart are the best. Make sure they have the outdoor logo inside the waist. Super thin and stretchy. Don’t get the boys in a bind either. When they get wet they dry real quick too! Never thought I would buy cheap pants to work in from Wally World but I’m telling you for $20 you will not be disappointed.
